Every month people work in (or are just plain passionate about) all things green and sustainable meet up at informal mixers known as Green Drinks. We have a lively mixture of people from NGOs, academia, government, community members and business owners (and CRAFTERS!).

This is your chance to ‘Meet Your Maker’ to learn about your favourite crafters tips, tricks and snazzy tools. Plus, you’ll walk away with your very own DIY up-cycled holiday craft!

Eight Reasons to Brave the Winter Snows & Enjoy the November Green Drinks Tonight:

1) It’s winter! Don’t stay home alone.

2) Launch the Craft Show Season! November is the official kick off of the Craft Show season. Come, mingle and meet the people behind Edmonton’s coolest craftshows. You’ll get to meet local artists, organizers, artisans and purveyors of hand made local goods (and get sweet ideas for your holiday shopping).

3) Start your holiday shopping. Why buy Box Store junk as gifts when you can support your local crafter and buy something with a story? At Green Drinks, you can actually Meet Your Maker!

And what’s better than a pop up craft sale? A tiny trunk pop up sale! With small space comes great imagination and we have 10 creators with arts & crafts for sale that fit into a small vintage suitcase. Stay late for this show and sell!

Don’t wait til your favourite crafter sells out of that perfect thing for your friend. And don’t wait til Christmas eve. Imagine how good you’ll feel knowing you’ve already got the perfect thing for your close friend and you’ve supported a local crafter in the process. #verygoodfeelings

4) Post Election Celebration! Celebrate a certain election down south that just happened, with your friends. #fourmoreyears

5) Meet Good People! Come in from the cold tonight, be warmed and be of good cheer as you do all of the above over drinks with some of Edmonton’s finest. If you’re looking for a green job, have a green business or have a non profit that needs support and just want to mingle with other leaders in Edmonton’s local, progressive scene – tonight’s the night.

6) Door prizes! You can check the facebook page to see all of amazing door prizes folks have been donating. You could walk home with one of them just for coming.

7) Learn About Crafting & Meet Your Maker! Ever wanted to know “how do they DO that?” or “how can I do that?”? Meet Your Makers will be bringing their work to the bar tables of The Common.
