The November Green Drinks is just around the corner. This month’s theme is #notinyeg – all about the ideas of things that are not yet, but should be, in Edmonton.
This Wednesday will be a night of ideas, inspiration and great company. Why should you come?
Well . . .
Five reasons to attend Green Drinks: #notinyeg
You might have a million ideas. You might have an inkling of an idea. Something that is #notinyeg might need some help. We’re so happy to have Make Something Edmonton as partners for this Green Drinks. They will be present at the pub, brewing ideas, sharing resources and connecting you with the people and projects you didn’t even know you should know.
2. LEGO! If You Build It . . .
What are the building blocks of great ideas? Lego, of course! Thanks to our friends at MADE, you will have these colourful foundations at your fingertips. Build your ideas – who says lego is for kids?
Have you heard of the Awesome Edmonton Foundation? It’s that great group of people that gives financial (and moral!) support to projects that will make Edmonton more Awesome? At Green Drinks you will get the chance to A) meet the trustees and B) have a chance to get your idea directly into the next Awesome Edmonton Pitch Party. That’s right – if you have an idea that is voted (using dot-mocracy), you could get a chance to win $1000 to make that idea happen!
4. Your Canvas Awaits
Perhaps you’ve been trying to sketch our an idea. Perhaps you want to see what Edmonton would look like from another lens. Perhaps you want to be part of a collaborative digital mural. Any and all of the above can come true with the snazzy set up from Guru Digital Arts College. A collective work of art will be created on the walls of the Yellowhead Brewery, and you can make your mark on it!
5. Keep that Municipal Momentum!
With the recent municipal election results, it was clear many Edmontonians are ready for change. Let’s embrace that change and discuss the Edmonton we want to build. Bring your ideas, your enthusiasms, your concepts and your friends. The election just ended, but the work is just beginning!
It’s going to be a great night! If you have an idea or want in on this engaging conversation, c’mon out to on November 6th at the Yellowhead Brewery! Plus, you can join the conversation with #notinyeg.
