Local Food DIY for March edition of Green Drinks

By far, our most popular Green Drinks theme is Local Food, so this year we’re taking it to the root of the topic — gardening!

Come join us on Wednesday, March 4, from 7 to 10 p.m. at the Yellowhead Brewery (10229 105 St.) to discuss how to localize your food at the core level — in your home. From seeds and compost to community gardens, this night is your chance to meet some amazing folks with a passion for dirt and green thumbs!

Worms, hydroponics and herbs — need we say more (and that’s not even saying all of it)? Whether you are experienced or new to the field, have a backyard or have just an apartment balcony to work with, this event has something for everyone and all styles of green space!

Check out the local food category on the blog, as well as the tags for gardening, local food systems, compost, CSA (community supported agriculture), eat local, farmers’ markets and agriculture

In addition to the great discussion surrounding local food, the Yellowhead is a fantastic brewery in a gorgeous heritage building in downtown Edmonton, so get your tickets fast! This one will sell out!
