Meet your maker, hands-on crafting & pop-up shopping all at Green Drinks!

The Local Good is pleased to announce the kind and crafty participants the craftiest Green Drinks yet.

Green Drinks takes place this Wednesday, November 7th from 7 – 9 pm at The Common (9910 109 St). At the heart of the event, we invite you to Meet Your Maker! That’s right, six fantastic crafters will show their tricks, tips and tools of their art. If you’ve ever wondered about the ‘behind the scenes’ of craft sales or maybe have wanted to try your hand at DIY, this is your chance!

Meet Your Makers!

1.  Alliston with  AFHandcrafts – accessories, service, yarn & spinning
“I would like to show fellow Edmontonians what you can do with sheep, a stick and a shoot – spin creative and comfortable yarns”
2.  Nitasha with Henna Art – home decor, service, henna body art
“The art of henna has a lot of background than what meets the eye, and I would love to show how it is prepared before application on the skin and canvases.”
3.  Shaz with Warhorse Studios –  accessories, jewelry
“As an active Designer and Goldsmith, I have a diverse background involving the forming of metal, and highly appreciate the many techniques that can be applied to various materials, to produce incredible outcomes.”
4.  Dari with The Abbey StillRoom – bath &  body
“One of my favourite bits about my job is that the things I do are easy to replicate at home and make people feel empowered and more able to take their health into their own hands.”
5.  Tanya with A Dreamy Day – jewelry
“It is always fun to meet other local crafters and the people interested in purchasing their wares.”
6.   Ally with Publik Market – hand dyed fabrics art and apparel
“I am looking forward to sharing my love for hand dying fabrics into art or repurposed apparel.”
7.   Kelsey with Burning Schoolhouse Designs – clothing, fine art

“I am looking to network with both shoppers and other crafters, not only to make friends and customers but also because my family is looking at potential starting a boutique for locally made goods.”
Get Your Craft On, All Night Long!
Feeling inspired? All night long, you can try your hand at DIY, upcycled craft! That’s right, with the help of the Reuse Centre’s own crafter, you will walk away with your own piece of artwork. What is the craft? It’ll be fun, fit-for-the-holidays and can-be-done-with-a-green-drink. You’ve got to come out to find out!
